What is bullying?

Bullying is when someone intentionally does or says something to hurt another person, over a sustained period of time.

Some of the ways people bully include: name calling, saying or writing nasty things about another person or leaving people out of activities. Victims of bullying can be ignored, threatened, or made feel uncomfortable or scared. Bullying also includes taking or damaging other people's property, hitting or kicking them, or making them do things they don't want to do.

Remember, bullying is persistent threatening behaviour to another person which makes them feel afraid or uncomfortable.
